Biography

Francois Courvoisier completed his Master’s degree in fundamental physics at Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) Cachan and University Paris XI Orsay, France.

He received his PhD degree from University Lyon 1, France. His PhD thesis concerned filamentation of femtosecond  laser pulses and ultrafast spectroscopy.

In 2005-2006 he carried out postdoctoral research in the Group of Applied Physics-biophotonics, Geneva, Switzerland.

In 2006 he joined the CNRS in FEMTO-ST institute, France as permanent researcher and carries a novel research concerning femtosecond laser nanomachining and filamentation with femtosecond nondiffracting pulses.

In 2012 he received the Habilitation diploma from University of Franche-Comté.
