I am teaching basics of fiber optics and nonlinear optics to Master and Ph.D students at the University Bourgogne Franche-Comté (MASTER PICS, EIPHI Graduate School, UBFC).
My courses include basics of guided wave optics, light propagation in fibers, introduction to modern nonlinear optics, optical Kerr effect, self- and cross-phase modulation, soliton theory, four-wave mixing, modulation instability, stimulated Raman and Brillouin scattering; theoretical modeling and computing using the nonlinear Schrodinger equation; and a range of applications to fiber lasers, amplifiers, sensors, and supercontinuum generation.
